Fishing at the Freudensee in Hauzenberg
The Freudensee, formerly known as Hammeweiher, is located just next to our hotel in the middle of a protected landscape in the Bavarian Forest.
There are plenty of fishing opportunities to be found around the Freudensee. Whether you prefer a shady spot between trees or a sunny site on a bridge, there is a place for every taste at the Freudensee. It is no coincidence that many of our regular guests are fishermen who enjoy the qualities of our lake.

The Fishing Competition at the Freudensee in Hauzenberg
Once a week, we organize a fishing competition at the Freudensee. The objective is to catch as many fish as possible. The person who catches the biggest amount of fish (measured by weight) is the winner.
The competition starts at 10 am and ends around 4 pm.
The manager of the Seehof takes care of the food during the day. For competitors, we provide a rich selection of sausages and refreshing beverages during the competition.
The award ceremony takes place at the following theme night as part of the welcoming of our new guests.
There are prizes for the best three competitors. But there is a recognition for every participant as well, so nobody leaves empty-handed.
Our private landing stage is the perfect place to fish in a quiet atmosphere.
